She studied mining geology and graduated from Imperial College London in 1983. Green was born in 1961 and grew up around Lytham in England. The Half Bad trilogy was adapted into the Netflix series The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself. Her work includes the Half Bad trilogy, related short stories, and The Smoke Thieves trilogy.
